FTA Today

FTA is a family-run public limited company under the direction of Karin Kaufmann and Roland Wasem.

Computer scientist Martin Kaufmann is in charge of the IT network. Ingrid Kaufmann is responsible for the properties.

to 2011

The Swiss head office with modern offices, warehouses and workshops is located in Unterentfelden, a neighbouring municipality of Aarau. This central location between Zurich and Bern is highly important to our quick delivery service. Fast delivery is also guaranteed to all the federal states in Germany thanks to modern logistics. Today, FTA is one of the leading providers of wheels, casters, ball casters and transport devices. The product range, which includes several thousand articles, is supplemented by custom manufacturing in the area of wheels and casters, which are manufactured according to customer specifications.

1990

FTA Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH is formed in Germany, which supports the EU region from Bad Säckingen.

1980

The product range is expanded through sales of the Danish “Brenderup” car trailers.  An independent company, FTA Anhänger AG, was formed from it in 1994. A large exhibition with all kinds of trailers has been located in 5033 Buchs AG since March 2009. www.fta-anhaenger.ch

1970

In-house production was supplemented over the course of the years by selected products of worldwide leading manufacturers. Through this product diversity, FTA is capable of offering the best products in the market regardless of the manufacturer.

1965

Out of the consulting company and design office emerged a public limited company with lines of business for wheels, casters, transport devices and means of conveyance.

With his engineering office for vehicle construction, company founder Hans W. Kaufmann laid the cornerstone for FTA in Aarau. In that time, we developed and designed transport devices and specialised vehicles in particular.
